INTERIOR OF A RESTAURANT

Interior of a Restaurant is an oil on canvas by Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh.

Vincent did a number of paintings and drawings involving the Interior of a Restaurant over 1887 and 1888.

The painting is unusual in its layout. Note how the front tables are all empty and the people are all at the back corner of the restaurant. The painting seems to verge towards the back corner and the paintings on the wall of the restaurant are obscure.
