OLIVE TREES

Olive Trees by Vincent van Gogh was painted by the Dutch post-impressionist artist in Saint-Rémy in 1889.

Vince did a number of drawings and paintings of olive trees during his life.

The painting shows us a bright yellow sky with a beaming sun. It may have been Van Gogh felt something positive from this. The olive trees have knotty trunks covered in green leaves. Vincent used heavy dabs of paint in Olive Trees.
