POLLARDED WILLOW AND SUNSET

Pollarded Willow and Sunset was painted in 1888 by post-impressionist Vincent van Gogh.

Vincent has experimented here with his use of colours and brushstrokes. Towards the front of the painting we see three striking blue Willow. Long grass is all around.

Note the bright sun sitting towards the centre at the back of the painting which is a common theme in many of Van Gogh`s paintings. Vincent loved the land and felt at home painting there.
