STAIRWAY AT AUVERS

Stairway at Auvers by Vincent van Gogh was painted in 1890, the final year of the Dutch artists life.

Vincent did a number of paintings of Auvers and Stairway at Auvers was done soon after he arrived.

Two young girls and two older women walk up the stairway to the heart of Auvers. Note the swirling brushstrokes Van Gogh uses.
