SUNNY MEADOWS IN ARLES

Sunny Meadow in Arles by Vincent van Gogh was painted in 1890. It is an oil on canvas.

Vincent loved the villages around Arles and did a number of paintings of them. It was the last year of Van Gogh`s life.

The painting shows us sweeping meadows to the front of greens, blues and yellows. It is a beautiful sunny day and towards the back we see a small village.
