THE SOWER

The Sower by Vincent van Gogh was painted by the Dutch post-impressionist artist in 1888. It is an oil on canvas.

The Sower is an isolated figure hard at work in the fields under the strong blazing sun. Van Gogh shows us a bright yellow rays bursting out from the Sun and a farmhouse to the distant left. Birds feeding on the seeds are shown around the Sower.
