THE STEVEDORES IN ARLES

The Stevedores in Arles by Vincent van Gogh is an oil on canvas executed in 1888 by the post-impressionist artist.

The Stevedores is somewhat different from many of the other works on Van Gogh. Note the simpler brush strokes Vincent has used.

Vincet depicts a flaming red, yellow, orange and green night sky. Faint ripples of the water where a boat is docked.
