VINEYARDS AT AUVERS

Vineyards at Auvers by Vincent van Gogh was painting by the Dutch artist in 1890.

Vincent did a number of paintings around Auvers. It was the last few months of his life and he seemed to be painting constantly.

A green vineyard sits to the front of the painting with an almost shimmering effect. Houses of Auvers sit the back. Van Gogh makes interesting use of greens and whites in Vineyards at Auvers. Note the cloudy sky in the background and how there are no people.
